Pico second lasers produce permanent, black non-fade and corrosion resistant marks without reflections with high contrast and even for deep engravings. They are suited for for UDI marking of medical devices that can withstand citric and nitric passivation cycles for stainless steel implants or tools. Picosecond lasers can also mark on titanium, especially for implants; anodized aluminum, often used in orthopaedic devices; and PEEK and PPSU plastics.
